Donating Goods

We would love to turn your unloved items into cash

Help us to support children and young people by donating your unwanted items. Your donations are the lifeline of our charity. Our Lighthouse shops need your good quality, reusable items.

How to Donate

We can accept donations at all of our Lighthouse shops mostly open between 9am and 5pm Monday to Saturday (some are also open on Sundays 10am – 4pm). We are also always happy to collect your unwanted furniture for free. If you have a lot of items to donate and you cannot take them to a shop, telephone your nearest Lighthouse shop and they will do their best to arrange a free collection.

What we can’t sell but we still love

  • Clothing of any quality can be recycled and we can raise money from these items. We are more than happy to accept your damaged or non-saleable clothes but it would be appreciated if you could put these into separate bags and let the store team know, when you drop these off.

Unfortunately, we cannot sell damaged or broken items that do not comply with trading standards regulations. Items (other than clothing) that we cannot sell unfortunately cost the charity money to dispose of.

What we can’t sell

We don’t like turning anything away but there are some items that we have to refuse because of safety and legal reasons. If you have any queries, please contact your local shop team.
