The Lighthouse Charity Shop in Alfreton has today relocated to a much bigger premises at 97 High Street (the old Cliffords store) AND has collaborated with Blend Youth Project to incorporate retail, youth training and enterprise.

It is trading as a normal Lighthouse Charity Shop at the moment, but Valley CIDS is in talks with Acorn (a training agency) to help take the new facility to it's full, exciting potential. Feel free to pop in and have a browse in our brilliant new shop, and have a look at what we've done with the space...

A big THANK YOU must be made to Chris, Judith, Lisa, Robert, Tom, Gill, Michael, Chris, Kirsty, Gail, Andy, Tom, Curly, Alison, Glenn and Steve for all of their hard work, which has made this possible.

If you would like to volunteer at the Alfreton Lighthouse Charity, please feel free to pop in and talk to a member of staff about all the exciting things that we need volunteers to help us with. Alternatively, visit our volunteer page here

If you have anything you would like to donate to the new shop, pop in, or call them on 01773 687900

Watch this space for the official opening and further news on how the project is progressing...

But that's not the end of the story... keep an eye on the old Lighthouse Charity Shop (67 High Street), as it will now be re-modelled into Purple Robes - a twice-treasured designer and bridal wear shop.

If you have anything you would like to donate to this specialist shop, please get in touch with the new Lighthouse Charity Shop in Alfreton (details HERE), or call the Valley CIDS head office on 01773 609603. Thank you.

We'll keep you posted as to when it opens...
