How long have you worked for Valley CIDS?

I started work in September 2006.

What do you do at Valley CIDS?

I head up the team of children's workers for Valley CIDS. The work we are involved with includes leading collective worship in schools and RE lessons, as well as running lunchtime and afterschool clubs, holiday clubs, and residential camps, alongside parenting courses and adult training in a variety of children ministry areas. The Children's Team work with a number of churches from a variety of denominations and over 70 schools.

What did you do before coming to Valley CIDS?

I was the Parish Children's Worker for Dronfield and district, working with five churches and thirteen local schools.

What is the best thing about working for Valley CIDS?

Helping children hear about Jesus, God and the Bible, and providing space through clubs and groups for children to creatively explore who God is and what He is like.

What do you like doing when you're not at work?

I love to swim. When time allows, I often swim 30 lengths at 7am before coming to work in the morning.
