Valley CIDS is a charity based in Swanwick, Derbyshire that is committed to serving our local community in the name of Jesus and thereby building and strengthening community in Derbyshire.



Our Vision is :-


  • To serve our local community.

  • By encouraging and supporting Christian Youth and Children's Work.

  • By offering a coffee shop (The Saltpot) and charity shops (The Lighthouses) as places of goodwill, friendship, and outreach.

  • By working in partnership with our local churches and community groups.


    • The work of the organisation is ably led by our Executive Director, Dorothy Whitaker together with the Valley CIDS Board of Trustees which consists of eight active members drawn from our local community. They represent the Church, local commerce, the health service and education. Collectively they bring a high level of expertise and commitment to the Valley CIDS vision.
